My son Matthew has had bilateral cochlear implants since he was around 2 years old. It has been a struggle to keep them attached to him when he plays. When we ordered Ear Gear covers for our son it was the best thing that has helped us with our son's equipment.  He can play as freely as he wants now, he can run around and play.  When his equipment falls off now, instead of looking for it on the ground or around the house, which we have done plenty of times in the past,  all he has to do is grab them when they dangle down by the attachment from Ear Gear. He also enjoys the colors and styles that they provide. We are very pleased with what Ear Gear provides for our son, so he can feel as comfortable as possible with his equipment.

I wear hearing aids bilaterally for moderate hearing loss, and as a serving Police Officer in the British Police service, I simply couldn't avoid situations where I was going to get wet. British weather can pretty much guarantee rain, especially if I'm on foot patrol miles from shelter and wearing my hearing aids.  I wear NHS supplied Oticon Spirit Zest aids and it's fair to say they don't cope well with moisture as even heavy sweating would cause them to keel over and die.

What a relief to discover a Paramedic who had solved the problem through getting Ear Gear.  He put me in touch through the UK distributor and what an amazing difference it really has made.   I was doubtful at first at how resistant they would be against moisture and light rain - but they really have made a big difference. Initially I was concerned that wearing Ear Gear might cause degradation to the sound - but I am pleased to report that I can't spot any discernible difference. 

The other advantage to wearing Ear Gear over my hearing aids, is that it has significantly reduced the feedback which I used to get when wearing a hat, and amazingly it also reduces the sound of wind rushing across the microphones.

My one year old daughter wears her Ear Gear every day. Ear Gear has completely alleviated my worries that we might lose a hearing aid. And the protection from dirt and water is a huge bonus. The clip is sturdy and secure, and I love the orange and red fabric.  Every week or two I wash her Ear Gear in a little dish detergent and then air dry it overnight, and it is ready to go in the morning.  I will be placing an order for another Ear Gear that will cover and protect her new FM boots.  Thank you for your absolutely wonderful and affordable product!

I live in (HOT!) S. Florida, and have shorted out my hearing aids multiple times, as well as once having one drop off into the dirt in an equestrian ring and losing one on a road trip. (Both retrieved, thankfully, but I may not be so lucky again.)  Now they will be covered, clipped to my shirt, and should they get separated from me, the blue color will make them easier to find. The fabric is very comfortable -- I don't feel them at all, nor do I notice any noise from them rubbing against my hair.

My son got his first pair of hearing aids at 3 months for moderate hearing loss. They came with a string and clip that attached to his shirt, but it was awkward and heavy and made the hearing aids stick out from his head. After quite a bit of online research I came across Ear Gear and decided to order a pair. I got them just in time, as he's starting to become more dextrous and is able to pull the hearing aids out of his ears. The Ear Gear covers fit perfectly, the clip is light and easy to use, and it's nice to know that his expensive hearing aids are protected and attached to him! My son is 7 years old and is very active. He plays all the sports and every time he sweats his hearing aid starts to to beep indicating that the batteries are almost dead even though I just replaced them. Our Story

 

Our daughter Shameera was born in October 1996. She was our second child and my wife and I quickly realized that she was not meeting her developmental milestones. Testing revealed that she had a rare chromosome abnormality called Partial Trisomy 18. In addition to having a significant cognitive delay, Shameera also had a mild to moderate hearing loss. Shameera’s hearing loss was diagnosed at the age of two. She started wearing behind the ear hearing aids soon after. The solution – hearing aids -- then became the challenge. How to keep them on!
