We have had three months now to test our Ear Gear. I ordered two sets, one set of Micro for myself and one set of Original for Ian Molenaar. We both love them! Living in Houston, Texas it gets very hot and humid, especially when you are exercising or working outdoors. Both of us had problems with our hearing aids going out all the time due to moisture. I even had to replace one due to moisture damage. But now with Ear Gear we have no problems. Ear Gear is a life saver! Ian plays volleyball 4 times a week and gets drenched in sweat. In the past he used other covers but they were ineffective in the heat and humidity  in Houston. Now that he has Ear Gear, he says "I love Ear Gear! How do I like your product? This would be like asking me do I love a coffee on a warm sunny day with friends! I had always felt that there must be something designed which would enable hearing aids and glasses to be 'joined' together effectively, especially for a special needs child.  Well we found it!! I only wish we had found it earlier. Jaecob has been wearing Ear Gear now for two years and the only difficulty I have had is that I should have bought two sets! The set he has now is truly well loved and needs to be replaced! He was excited to get Ear Gear and will happily slide his glasses into the rings knowing that everything is securely in place. We have much simpler days now thanks to your product (no long periods of hunting for glasses or aids, no more trying to keep the glasses and aids in the 'right' position, no more telling him he must have his glasses on) and as we live in the 'tropics' an added blessing of not being concerned about the moisture factor. My son Jerrell, age 8, is currently using Ear Gear for his hearing aids on both sides. We are happy and satisfied with this product. Jerrell sweats a lot and before we put the cover on, we had a lot of cleaning and maintenance to do on his hearing aids. Our 4-year-old son, David, has a mild to moderate hearing loss and has been wearing hearing aids for just over a year. We got our first pair of Ear Gear at the end of last summer, after months of removing his hearing aids at the water park and beach. Since he only has a moderate hearing loss, he can hear a bit without his hearing aids, so we chose to remove them rather than risk damage during these outdoor activities. I was so excited to be able to hear with my new cochlear implants, and appreciated that I could use them when I cycled. The CI processor does better with sweat than my hearing aids, but still, I kept going deaf at mile 23. I asked around and learned of Ear Gear, and they work! Now I can cycle long distances and still hear, ditto for other high-sweat situations. Our Story

 

Our daughter Shameera was born in October 1996. She was our second child and my wife and I quickly realized that she was not meeting her developmental milestones. Testing revealed that she had a rare chromosome abnormality called Partial Trisomy 18. In addition to having a significant cognitive delay, Shameera also had a mild to moderate hearing loss. Shameera’s hearing loss was diagnosed at the age of two. She started wearing behind the ear hearing aids soon after. The solution – hearing aids -- then became the challenge. How to keep them on!
