I have been wearing hearing aids for over 30 years, ever since I was about 5 years old, and have seen hearing aids come a long ways from what they use to be. I have sever to profound hearing loss, and so my hearing aids are a very important part of my life. So important are they to me in order to function in my world, that I think of them as being like a body part that I can't live without. As a child I can remember losing a few pairs of hearing aids as a kid which I'm sure caused my parents grief to try and replace them. And now as an adult I try to take especially good care of my digital hearing aids, as quality hearing aids are very expensive and I can't afford to buy a pair more than once every eight or so years. They are a huge investment as well as something I greatly depend on in my day to day life.
Having worn hearing aids for so many years, I often worry about all the "what if's". What if's such as...."what if I get caught in the rain and it damages my aids? What if the wind picks up dust and that gets into the microphones of the aid which could short out or damage my aids? What if I forget to make sure my hands are clean and reach to change the program, or take the hearing aids out with dirty hands and get something on them that won't come off?" Sweat and moister was a great concern as over time it can wear down the casing of the hearing aids, and worse it can make its way into the hearing aids shorting them out.
All that worry would sometimes made me not want to wear my hearing aids out public for fear of what could happen to them. But now, thanks to Ear Gear I feel like my hearing aids are protected. Protected from the natural elements, from dirty hands, and most importantly sweat and moister. Here in Michigan we have real high humidity, and in the summer sweat and lots of it is inevitable. The new Ear Gear fits very comfortably over my aids, and doesn't interfere with the microphones or buttons on the aids. It's so comfortable that I forget that I'm even wearing it! It also looks great, and now I feel like I can go about my life without having to worry about all those "what if's" anymore!!! Thank you Ear Gear for making such a wonderful and much needed protect for those of us who depend on hearing aids. I only wish someone had come up with this idea 30 years ago! Thanks Again!

I found out about Ear Gear from my audiologist during a visit with her. I asked if there was anything to help me protect my hearing aids when I workout or go to the beach. She gave me a phamplet about Ear Gear and I liked what I read. I purchased a pair and I absolutely love them! They are awesome and help keep the moisture of my tubes while I am working out. Finally, I can still hear after a good workout! I also go to the beach every weekend and have in the past worried about the sand and salt air affecting my hearing aids. No more! I highly recommend Ear Gear for the protection they provide to me and my hearing aids whether I am working out, dancing or going to the beach. A worthwhile investment for a huge investment!

The first time I had a patient try Ear Gear was a shining success! He was a new patient to me, and had previously lost a pair of hearing aids working on his farm. With his new aids, we decided to try corded Ear Gear to prevent loss. My 6 year old son sweats…A LOT!!! Before we tried Ear Gear, his sweat would short-out his cochlear implants very often during the warm summer months. After wearing Ear Gear, he has played six holes of golf with his grandpa on a hot, sunny day without any problems. His hair was damp, but his implants were fine. He (and I) also loves the security of knowing that even if his cochlear implant is knocked off his ear, he won't lose it.

I live in Texas, and I discovered within a month of getting aids two years ago, that I would not be able to wear them outdoors in many circumstances here. Oddly enough, in our heat and humididity in Central Texas, I can wear them for a golf game, under a hat. But many other places, no.
So, Ear Gear got a trial by fire. I'm cleaning out the garage this week - what a vacation! It's 99F and humidiity that makes the index 110F - that is hot and wet. I put Ear Gear over the aids, and for the past TWO days, over three hours in those conditions - NOT A PROBLEM. I know that I would have heard the battery beep within 10 minutes otherwise. That is an unbelievable difference; I had to go without decent hearing without this option, and I really didn't think they would stand up to it. They did, and I was wrong, and you will have to try these in a real sauna to see if they don't work there. Sold.

My son, Ryan, is nine years old. He is very active and has had problems with moisture causing this cochlear implant to crackle or turn off. This past fall he joined a youth basketball team. I have been using hearing aids since the age of 4. Since starting work as a refrigeration engineer (20yrs ago) I have found the need for protection for my hearing aids due to the increased exposure to the elements/dust etc. I have used another brand of hearing aid covers that were supplied through the NHS (National Health Service) but they are in limited sizes and are made of rubber. I have recently got new hearing aids through the NHS and the covers supplied are unsuitable as they effect the balance of the microphones. I have been using Ear Gear over a very wet weekend and they have been superb, I noticed straight away that the spandex covering from Ear Gear didn't effect the sound quality/balance of my aids.

I have to say that I love Ear Gear. It has made caring for my daughter's hearing aid so much easier. Trusting a four year old with $3,000 hearing aids is not a easy task or an entirely realistic expectation. We are an American family living in Europe and our son's hearing loss was diagnosed at the beginning of the school year. He began attending a Dutch school- for our English-speaking family it was an adjustment for us all. Needless to say, we knew that the hearing aids would make a difference and in a crowded classroom as he learned a new language. His behind the ear aid model is particularly small, and we were concerned about them failing out. We attached the hearing aids to some eye glasses string/holder and clipped it to his shirt. Within a few weeks, when we picked him up from school- one of the hearing aids had fallen out and was missing. Fortunately- we found it in tact and on the school playground. Tassia, our daughter, is now almost 11 months old. She has had her hearing aids since she was 4 months. We have constantly struggled with her taking her aids out and being in fear that she might lose or damage them. We even bought her 2 bonnets to deter her from pulling at them. I honestly didn't think the Ear Gear would work at all seeing as it left the are exposed, but amazingly it was the SOLUTION!! It literally CURED her of her need to pull at them!! I can't explain why, maybe cause she feels them less because the slip cover on the aid is so soft. I am not really sure, but whatever it is, she has basically ceased taking them out all together . Now she can wear them all day! I can't even explain what a relief it is , as she is in the most crucial stage of language and speech acquisition. It is fantastic! I learned about Ear Gear from our Pediatric Audiologist. We had been struggling to keep our daughters hearing aids safe – she would pull them out and toss them aside – even with the tether that the hearing aid company provided. I don't know how many times I have had to search through the toys looking for a lost little hearing aid. Now, with Ear Gear, they are very safely attached, plus with the soft fabric our daughter is not aggravated by the hearing aids! She barely notices that they are behind her ears!

As I leaned over the toilet to flush yesterday, I felt the clip of his Ear Gear that I had attached to my shirt (as I often did) slide down the inside of my shirt into the flushing toilet. After screaming 'no no no no!!' I turned off the water to the house and called our borough water authority. Within 15 minutes, Scott came and put a camera in our sewage pipe and lo and behold -- there were the aids. It took about 6 hours for a plumber to arrive, and with a quick swish of the snake in the pipe he was able to catch the cords of the ear gear and pull them out.
The hearing aids sat partially in water for the whole 6 hours, and after cleaning them and putting them in the hearing aid dryer simply prayed that the aids weren't completely ruined. This morning, our sons' audiologist reported that the hearing aids worked perfectly as if nothing had happened!!!
If not for Ear Gear they would have been light and simply rushed along with the water to the sewage treatment plant. The clip made them just heavy enough to sink in the pipe after flushing. If not for Ear Gear, it would have allowed the water to completely seep into the aids (the battery doors were open) and destroy the aids. If not for Ear Gear, the plumber would never have been able to pull the aids out with such ease. He would have had to cut open the concrete basement floor and remove a section of the pipe to retrieve them.
Saying thank you for making such a fantastic product doesn't quite seem to cover our immense gratitude for literally saving his hearing aids, and saving us the replacement cost. This item that costs around $20 may have saved us nearly $20,000! Of course we had to throw away his ear gear, but ordered a new pair today because we now know they are a necessity to the safety of his hearing aids. My husband even offered to order them this morning if I wasn't going to have the time to do it!
You make a product that we thought was convenient and helpful -- but now we know, it's something we simply will not be without. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Ear Gear are perfect for infants and young children! I was very frustrated because hearing aids are getting smaller, but the retention cords that come with many of the hearing aids do not work well; they push the child's ear out, make the ear sore, and are just too big for small ears. I called one of the hearing aid companies and they suggested that I have parents make their own retention cords with fishing line and a diaper pin. Needless to say, this was time consuming and difficult to manipulate. Then I found ear gear! Ear Gear come in a variety of colors and sizes, so they fit all hearing aids and personalities. Ear Gear is far and away the GREATEST. I have been wearing bilateral BTE hearing aids for over 3 years. My audiologist recommended Ear Gear a year ago when I complained about how frequently my hearing aids were shorting out due to even the slightest amount of moisture (sweat). So I ordered a couple of pairs of the mini curved cordless ones, and from the first day that I wore them, I have been tickled pink. I teach nursing students in various clinical settings (hospitals, assisted living facilities, etc.) and in multiple sites within those settings. So I need to be in several places at one time. This is impossible, so I am always racing from one student to the next, upstairs, downstairs, down long hallways, in and out of patient's rooms. Whenever I would break out into even the slightest sweat, the hearing aids would stop working. Needless to say, I was constantly frustrated and trying to find a way to dry them out. I also take some active yoga classes which require me to be able to hear the instructor while sweating through the poses. Plus I live in southeastern Virginia where the humidity is infamous in the summer. Ear Gear has solved several problems for me. They make my hearing aids more comfortable with their cushy fabric, they are virtually sweat proof, and they can be "now you see them, now you don't", depending on my mood. With wearing my new BTE mini hearing aids, I began to experience problems with them in that they kept working intermittently, as if there was a short circuit. My provider said that they had rust inside them and gave me two different de humidifier dryers with a new pair of aids. This didn't work for me, so, after the second set of new aids, they asked me to look into Ear Gear and after receiving and wearing them, I never have had the problem since. This is Brant, he is 19 months old and has been wearing BTE hearing aids since he was a year old. He was born with a moderate hearing loss in both ears. We tried many different products to keep his hearing aids from getting lost because he always wanted to take them out and put them in his mouth. Most of the products kept his hearing aids on a cord but the way they attached to the hearing aid contributed to them falling out. The design of Ear Gear is great, it not only protects the hearing aid, but also is snug enough not to interfere with the fit of his BTE hearing aids. I have been fitting hearing aids for almost 10 years. Because of the ever-growing popularity of behind-the-ear type hearing aids, we are also seeing more repairs due to moisture. Naturally, there are ways to help keep moisture out of the hearing aids; but some people need these devices that have exceptionally oily skin or sweat heavily. I had a patient come in once with in-the-ear type hearing aids and he told me that he needed to get new ones. When I learned that his hearing aids were only a year old, I was dumbfounded. Why would they need to be replaced after a year!? I discovered that he had them in for repair more than they were in his ear due to moisture. He is a diabetic and perspires VERY heavily. The moisture would get into the aid and kill it. I had also learned that this was his third set in three years. I recommended he get behind-the-ear type hearing aids. He told me that he had tried them before without success because they fill with moisture quicker than in-the-ear type; which is true, but I had heard of a new device called EarGear. It was supposed to be like a "wet-suit" for hearing aids, so I thought we should give it a try (I remember thinking if it works for this patient then I'll believe it…and it did)! That was several years ago and I have been recommending EarGear for my patients ever since.

I work a lot in the outdoors over the summer and I sweat profusely which has caused my hearing aids to breakdown on a regular basis. Well the solution has finally arrived! I am an active baby boomer and wanted something to keep my fabulously expensive BTE type hearing aids from getting lost when I am hiking, kayaking, skiing or cycling. As you can see the the Ear Gear color matchs my outfit and would be easy to find if dropped, while the hearing aids themselves are almost impossible to see. Ear Gear is unobtrusive and I actually forgot I had them on. Plus they have the added advantage of reducing wind noise while cycling at higher speeds, and I hope the same will be true for down hill skiing. Our patients love Ear Gear. Although we have mainly adult patients we have found that Ear Gear help our active adults tremendously. Most that have benefited are either working or playing in the Hazy, Hot & Humid air that is the MidAltlantic states in the summer. One patient was having so much trouble with his receiver in canal aid from moisture. He works in a gravel yard, so not only is it humid and dirty, but he was perspiring so much that his hearing aid was going in for repair way too often. My granddaughter Kiana, now age 3, has worn her Cochlear implant for 15 months, and has been wearing Ear Gear for almost as long. I have tried Ear Gear for a few weeks now and I have nothing but praise. First of all my aids no longer get wet in the rain or while working out or playing golf. Secondly, that annoying wind noise when I am outside has disappeared. While playing golf, many times I have turned my aids off just to stop the wind noise. Not necessary now, what a bonus. But the best thing is that my aids are now camouflaged! I no longer have a complex about my hearing loss. This has been the best thing next to being able to hear again! We actually have an unusual recommendation for Ear Gear, that worked beautifully for us. A young boy chose a pink BTE cochlear implant speech processor when he was very young and was first fit with the processor. His parents were not told that the color could never be changed once he grew older, and he is now at an age where he does not want to be seen with a pink processor. The CI company was unable to change the case color, even when we requested to pay for a recasing, so we were stuck trying to figure out what to do. That week, an Ear Gear sample arrived in camouflage color, made to fit a BTE CI speech processor, and I can tell you that we now have one very happy and proud young man who can change his processor color and feel that he now has a much more masculine color to wear.

I am a 17 year old equestrian who spends a lot of her time in the dusty, sweaty, and accident prone horse world. I have had hearing aids since I was an infant and just recently acquired an FM system to help me hear my instructor in the arena. As I mentioned, the horse world is not a hearing aid friendly environment due to weather and noise factors. I have struggled to keep my hearing aids protected and secure while training my horses. I had been using cloth covers, but they became filthy after a few wears, took forever to dry after workouts, and within a month or two were stretched out and falling off. It became expensive to replace them. Then my audiologist, Michele Frazier of Midlands Hearing, recommended your product. I have been wearing them for several months now and absolutely love them! During sports events, I can enjoy myself instead of worrying about damage or loss of my hearing aids. The color black I have chosen is suitable for both casual and formal occasions, and the cord, ring, and clip allow me to secure them neatly out of the way. They are sized perfectly to fit my BTE's with the FM attached. Recently, I put up a shipment of hay and the covers effectively protected my aids from the dust and sweat. By the time I was finished, they were soaked, but within 15 minutes they had dried and effectively wicked the moisture away from my aids. Thank you, Ear Gear for an exceptional product!

Ear Gear are not just for kids! My elderly father was having trouble keeping track of his hearing aids as they were hard to see. We ordered the Ear Gear in black so he could see them. We clip them on the morning and off at bedtime with no losses (so far)! If he takes one out, it dangles from the clip rather than dropping to the floor, never to be found again. I learned about Ear Gear from Dr. Kristen M. Chun at Kaiser Permanente, Hawaii who recommended that I try the Ear Gear to resolve some annoying feedback ringing and wind sounds that I experienced with my Dot by Resound hearing instrument. My family members and fellow golfers often told me they could hear the ringing several yards away. Dr. Chun conducted some feedback tests and did some adjustments but also suggested I try the Ear Gear in order to eliminate the possibility of moisture from sweat and wind sounds interfering with the operation of the ear instrument.
Following the adjustments that Dr. Chun had made and my purchase and use of the Ear Gear, the feedback from wind and sweat have been greatly minimized; especially noticeable on the golf course.

We were introduced to your product a few months ago, and we wish we had known about Ear Gear a few years ago. Indra wears BTE hearing aids with FM boots all day at his kindergarten. My daughter Hollyn (age 5) was diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss this year. Her hearing aids kept flipping over her ear and we were afraid she'd lose this expensive equipment at school or camp. We instantly went hunting for something to keep her aids behind her ears but also to catch them if they came off. Corded Ear Gear answered both problems. Hollyn finds the fabric less irritating and thus doesn't need to mess with the aids as often. The fabric also seems to grip her small ears better than the aid alone. When they have slipped off or she has taken them out, the cord instantly catches them giving us peace of mind. Further, since Hollyn has significant speech delay as well, if one falls down, she can easily show an adult what has happened since it is still attached to her shirt, rather than needing to verbally explain that the hearing aid has fallen out and that she needs help to look for it. Hollyn wears the bright pink Ear Gear to coordinate with her pink and purple ear molds and her many pink outfits - she happily wears her hearing aids like they are an accessory!

I live in the state of Georgia and it can get very hot and humid. I have had a lot of trouble with moisture affecting my BTE cochlear speech processor when outdoors. I also exercise regularly and prespire heavily. I either did not wear/use the processor, or I would have to take it off every 5 minutes or so and dry it off. I even had to dry the battery compartment every 30 minutes. Now that I wear Ear Gear I can fully enjoy having a speech processor and be able to hear during outdoor activities and exercising. I no longer have to worry about moisture damage and I have put EarGear through many hours of continuous use with no problems. It also dries quickly and is easy to clean. I highly recommend this product to everyone that uses a hearing intrument!

I purchased the Ear Gear for my beautiful daughter, Evie, who has two Cochlear Implants. She is 22 months old and spends a lot of time rolling around on the floor. I heard about Ear Gear through a friend who heard about you from someone else's blog, I believe. My friend's son is also deaf and has bilateral CI's. Evie spends a lot of time rolling around on the floor so we have had a difficult time keeping her CI's on. We are constantly finding them in her car seat, high chair, on the floor, or worse, she rips them off and drops them from her high chair or our arms. We've found them in pieces and seen the battery pack fly out of them when hitting the hardwood floor! We've done everything we can think of to keep them on her head and safe. We've tried ear molds, hats, double sided tape, headbands, bandanas, the Snug Fit and similar attachments, but nothing was working. The tape helped, but it was so hard on her skin and we'd have to replace it four times a day!
Finally I ordered her Pink Ear Gear and decided that I'd give it a try, not knowing how I'd keep them over her little ears. After a slight modification, I have come up with a painless solution to our problem using her new Ear Gear! It is working better than anything we've tried before and its easy on her skin! I found some small stretchy headbands that I cut in order to loop the ends through the Ear Gear openings. Then I tied the ends together and inserted her Cochlear Processors. She is keeping the headband on very well and if she manages to get it off, the clip keeps her CI's safe from the floor! Some added bonuses to having the Ear Gear are, the processor can no longer be pulled or busted apart into pieces, it is protected from her sweat, spit-up, milk and messy hands, and now she's super cute in her new pink Bling Bling!

When Karah was a baby she went through a period of constantly taking aids out and that is why we bought our first pair of Ear Gear, which helped us not to lose them. Then when she was about a year she "got it" and figured out she heard much better with them in and has not bothered them since except when something's wrong or they have come off her outer ear. BUT, the reason we are now going back using Ear Gear is because she has started being more active with other kids outside the home and not in my constant supervision anymore.
I do have one "paranoid mommy" thing to say which any parent with a child that has expensive equipment to wear would probably understand. I like the bright colors (in our case pink) of the covers because when she is not with me and is somewhere else, I feel it draws attention to her aids and "reminds" the adults that she needs to be looked after a little more closely so that these expensive items do not get lost or broken.

We love Joshua's Ear Gear! Josh was born without a eardrum and ear canal in his left ear. After surgery to reconstruct his ear, Josh had 100% hearing. Unfortunately after several infections and some scar tissue, Josh lost forty percent of his hearing. Josh needed a hearing aid. Joshua was nervous about wearing his new hearing aid, especially about losing it. He is a very active kid who loves to play softball, ride his bike, and generally just play outdoors! We decided to go on line to see if we could find something that might help. When he saw the Ear Gear he was so excited! We love our Ear Gear. We have such a sense of relief knowing that we will not lose the hearing aids. We have lost one in the past and it was such a horrible experience. Our son is 22 months old and we can let him play with more freedom, not having to check his ears every time we move to another part of the room or in and out to play. We simply just look for the clips that are attached and we know that they are safe. The color blends so nicely with his hair and skin and it is really not even visible. thank you so much for this product. We continually recommend it.

My new Ear Gear Mini Squares arrived at the perfect time for a test. I was working that day in the attic – you know how hot that can get! I was not risking my good Oticon aids, and my backups couldn't put up with the moisture. Once the Ear Gear arrived, I put them on my aids. Back in the attic, I could hear clear as a bell – no failures at all. They are nearly invisible because of their skin color and they are very comfortable, so I have no reason to take them off except for occasional cleaning. And all the controls on the aids work perfectly right through them. Ear Gear: I'm sold! It's a great product – a life-saver for me.

Ear Gear is the best product for kids with hearing aids who have moisture issues. We have many patients who have tried several devices to help with controlling moisture, including very costly ones, and they always come back and say that Ear Gear has helped more than anything. I wanted to say that I really like my Ear Gear. It is a lot better than anything else I've tried. It lets me play soccer with my hearing aid without worrying about it getting messed up from my sweat. I got plowed into by another player in a game and it stayed clipped onto my jersey. It's also not as bulky as other brands I've tried, so it is really comfortable. You even have cool colors to choose from.

I purchased the Ear Gear Micro for my new GN Resound Dot 30's. I perspire a lot from daily hiking, walks, yard work and golf and wanted to protect my investment in improving my hearing. I just got my Ear Gear today and I wanted to say, "you guys have solved more problems than expected"! I bought your product for this reason: I live in an assisted living and since I got hearing aids, staff likes to be certain I'm really wearing them. This has resulted in multiple staff members asking me multiple times per day, "Amy, do have your hearing aids in?" I wear a micro BTE and between the flesh color, the small size, and the length of my hair it's just impossible to see them. It gets really frustrating when you're 25, disabled, and fighting to find some level of independence and someone ask for what feels like the 100th time if you have your hearing aids in. Even when I have my have my hair down and it covers my hearing aids the brightly colored fabric on the back of clip is all the assurance they need that my hearing aids are in. Staff can just peek at the back of my shirt, see the clip, and smile – and I smile back knowing that constant questioning has finally been brought to halt.

I have been wearing Ear Gear on my bilateral cochlear ear implants for several weeks now and I got to tell you they are truly amazing. I had issues prior to wearing Ear Gear in which perspiration would shut off my cochlear implants at work and during extracurricular activities. My baby Jason was diagnosed with Sticklers Syndrome at the age of 3 weeks. This disorder can cause a lot of things but for Jason is was a soft cleft palate and a hearing loss. He's a sweet boy but he loves to chew on his hearing aid. This makes his mother crazy because, he could ruin it and also swallow the battery which would cause real damage. Masin is a very active boy and we live in the desert we needed some sort of sweat bands and cords to keep his new investment safe. I am a Florida resident and am active daily outside in the heat and humidity. I have had my first cochlear implant for a year and have only recently gotten my first Ear Gear protector. It works well at keeping my processor dry; and I sweat a lot! I've just recently had my other cochlear ear surgery and am going to use Ear Gear on both processors. I was also a long time hearing aide wearer before my implant and had constant moisture problems. I wish I had known about Ear Gear sooner. I would recommend Ear Gear for any type of hearing aide supplement.

Just wanted to follow up on the two sets of Ear Gear you sent out for me. Both like them. Jesse is an 8 year old, very active little boy. He was not exactly happy about needing Hearing aids. But once we received the black gear to go along with his red and white ear molds he knew he was the ultimate GA Bulldog Fan. He is so excited that he can now wear his hearing aids and play outside without worrying about the sweat damaging them, and be "cool" while playing his favorite sport. Both my children Jake and Layla wear hearing aids.Jake is a typical preschooler, always rough-playing, running around, and getting dirty, and I don't know what we did before we got his ear gear! It's such a relief to put it on in the morning and send him to school knowing his hearing aids will be protected while he plays all day at school. Everyone asks me about Jake's cool green ear gear, and agrees what a great idea they are! I don't leave the house without Layla's corded ear gear on her hearing aids! We would have lost them countless times by now if they hadn't been safely clipped to her shirts. Having this new peace of mind is priceless, especially after having searched a shopping center for a lost hearing aid before. Ear gear is also great for protection from all the messes babies inevitable create - it seems like Layla is either spitting up, grabbing her hearing aids with hands covered in baby food, or chewing on her HA at any given time, and her ear gear has saved them every time.

We had a small mishap with Troy our 2 year old, and after my husband dealt with his little problem we realized that Fritz our 9 month old had a good minute or two with his hearing aid in his mouth. Result? Soaked ear gear... slightly moist hearing aid... completely dry battery! Wearing Ear Gear over the last few years while cycling has opened up my cycling world tremendously. Before discovering Ear Gear, I couldn't wear my hearing aids because of risk of damage due to sweat. It is not trivial to replace sophisticated digital aids that cost $7,500 a pair! Also, without aids, it was impossible to communicate with other cyclists safely. Now, with my Ear Gear, I am able to communicate with fellow cyclists as they ride beside me. Instead of being a lonely rider, and indeed, previously avoiding group rides, I can now socialize while riding.

I purchased the Beltone Marq 17 BTE Hearing Aids a couple of years ago and loved them except for one thing. Every time I started to sweat, even just a little, the moisture would cause the hearing aids to cut in and out and they would stop working. In order to solve this problem, we did some investigation on the Internet and found the Ear Gear website and purchased the Ear Gear Mini. They arrived within a few days and fit the hearing aids perfectly. I am very pleased to say that the Ear Gear lived up to its claims. As a matter of fact they exceeded my wildest expectations! Besides preventing sweat from causing problems I found that I could drive with the windows down and not hear the loud noise of the wind.
While I was on vacation I accidentally wore my hearing aids into the shower! As soon as I realized I still had them on I took them out and removed them from the Ear Gear. Much to my amazement the hearing aids were COMPLETELY DRY!!! I could squeeze water out of the Ear Gear but the aids themselves were perfectly fine. Ear Gear = Peace of Mind! I have always worried when my rough-and-tumble boys went outside to play because I knew the risk of losing a hearing aid was too high and I can't afford the replacement cost. Since my twins started using the corded Ear Gear products, I no longer have concerns about losing one. We also have the additional benefits of protection from moisture and impact, yet they are comfortable and not at all bulky behind their little ears. My boys are very sensitive to clothing seams/tags but have no issues with their Ear Gear and love to wear them. This is a well-made product that is easy to use and definitely worth the cost! Specific successes include an older gentleman who is an avid tennis player. He really likes to wear his hearing aid when he plays partners tennis. Using ear gear has successfully reduced the amount of corrosion and moisture problems. He has 4 pairs in various colors (royal blue, grey brown and black). I've been using the BTE type hearing aid for about 15 years now and I've always had problem keeping them dry while playing sports. So, I normally have to take them out and I can't hear as well. I'm glad that I found the Ear Gear Original cover recently. Now I can use my hearing aids and not worry about them getting wet. It's great for hikes and bicycle riding on the street. I feel safer being able to hear my surroundings. Thanks for this great invention!

Our son, Keaton turned 3 on December 1, 2009. His Cochlear Implant was activated on February 13th. In mid March we were playing outside and I was getting tired of chasing him around so I decided that we would take a bike ride. When I put him in the bike seat I quickly noticed that the processor was missing. I stared looking for it every place that we had been. First I looked in our front yard and then over by the swing set where I caught a glimpse of something stuck in the grass. That day was the first windy day since Keaton's activation, I guess he didn't like the new sound he was hearing. I decided right then that I needed to do something to protect all of his new gear. I have a little boy, Tobias "Tobi", who was born at 26 weeks. Tobi, being a micro preemie, was followed very closely with all of his developments and his physical complications from his premature birth. He failed both hearing tests and before his first birthday, was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, and aids were in place at 13 months. It was a very difficult the first few years trying to get a sick toddler to wear his aids, but now, at the age of 6 years, Tobi knows his "ears", are part of him. Tobi's wonderful audiologist suggested we get a set of the Ear Gear due to Tobi's excessive sweating and the batteries in his aids, constantly corroding because of the moisture, as well as the aids constantly having to be repaired because of the damage from moisture, even after we would put them in the hearing aid "dryer". We knew it sounded like a good idea, and with him wanting to play soccer, and the thought of possibly losing one on the field with a fall, we decided it was a must. We purchased Ear Gear, and it was wonderful!. As you can see, he didn't mind wearing them at all. With Tobi's level of hearing loss, we decided to use the FM System, if the assistant coach was willing, and as most men with new gadgets, he was very interested, and it worked out great. Tobi had direct "access" to the coach with the FM System so there was little confusion, as far as directions from the coach, yet without Ear Gear, we would not have been able to use it, for fear of damage to the system from Tobi's sweat, and dirt. It's so nice to have a very functional accessory to give us peace of mind against damage to Tobi's aids and FM system at the same time, allowing our son the freedom to just be like other boys playing soccer, getting dirty, sweating, and having lots and lots of fun! We are so glad we found Ear Gear! Living in Arizona, with two active hearing-impaired toddler boys, we were having weekly hearing aid (HA) malfunctions due to moisture. Between the sweat, water to stay cool and HA's in the mouth - we were always at the audiologist. My boys have both been wearing Ear Gear for six months now and we have not had a single malfunction due to moisture!! The Ear Gear also provides the added bonus for our 1 year old as he loves to throw them as hard as he can when he is caught in the act with HA's in the mouth!! I have spent countless hours in the past searching for tiny parts in the yard! No More!! Thanks for sharing the solution to the challenge your daughter faced with her hearing aids. Audiometrix in Colorado pointed me in your direction after repairing my BTE for moisture relayed issues for the umpteenth time. It's nice now, not having to stop what you're doing to find a hair dryer when you break a bead (perspire) in hopes the aid doesn't cut out. I use Ear Gear in tandem with the dry box and life is good! It has also provided to be a nice conversation piece at parties!

My golf game was good the entire weekend (5th place at 7 under) and I attribute it to Ear Gear. Normally I am always worried my processor will short out and then I have to play completely deaf as I am deaf in my right ear and my left ear has the implant. There is a theory in golf that if you lose hearing you lose the ability to hear your hands position in the backswing. I need not worry about this anymore. Plus the fact that I can socialize with playing companions. This is an absolutely great product and will recommend them to all hearing impaired persons with BTE units.

Thank you so much for the Ear Gear! I actually just started wearing hearing aids this past fall when my hearing started decreasing very rapidly. I had to pay for my aids out of pocket, and was petrified of ruining them (I'm a poor college student, what can I say?) Being in college, I'm constantly walking to and from classes in the constantly changing weather. Plus I wear my hair down over my aids, and once in a while I'll put a hat on overtop of that! I was really worried about moisture getting inside my aids. I Also, I was having a big problem with the aids just rubbing and hurting my ears since I'm not used wearing hearing aids. Ear Gear has been AMAZING. My hearing aids are now so much more comfortable! Also, now when I have my hair over top of my hearing aids, it doesn't cause as much feedback because of rubbing against the microphones!! Ear Gear is well worth the investment!

In November 2008, I finally was able to get the Freedom processor which is BTE kind. YAY!!!! Well, it is supposed to be sweat and splash resistant, but I noticed after a while it kept shutting off when i was working out, and I looked for solutions. I noticed when I opened the battery compartment, it had like 3 or 4 drops of water inside of it... that is like a flood! I tried switching to rechargeables, tried headbands, and tried water balloons which worked okay but hard to get it on there without breaking the balloon. Okay, so I sweat a lot!!! I sweat like a pig!!! .... I've worn Ear Gear to the gym for the past week, and some short runs outside. (it is cold, ha-ha.) ...and it hasn't shut off from the sweat. As a dog groomer based in the UK I am constantly working in a humid/damp environment and was often having problems with my hearing aids cutting out. Cody was born deaf, he received his implant at 2 1/2, before that he wore a hearing aid so he was used to having something on his ear. But as children do, he would take it off and leave it lying about. When we discovered Ear Gear we were so pleased that it clipped on to his clothes and kept the aid from getting wet and dirty. He is now 7 and we are on our third Ear Gear, mostly because he likes to change colors. We still have our very first one, although a bit worn now. We still use the clip type because he is a very active boy and if his aid slips off it is still attached to his shirt. I cannot say enough on how much we love the Ear Gear! Our 6 year old daughter Talia has Downs Syndrome and was diagnosed with a severe hearing loss when she was 3 years old. It has been difficult trying to train her to wear her hearing aids that we didn't know how to keep them on her ears and from her not losing them. We tried other hearing aid clips but she always managed to rip them within a week. Then one day I was searching the internet and come across your company and decided to give Ear Gear a try. They not only prevented her from losing her aids but from turning them off and playing with the battery compartment; and to top it off they look fabulous on her! I think Ear Gear is a fantastic product. It makes the children proud to wear their hearing aids because of the array of colors and patterns. They make great fashion statements .I personally like Ear Gear because I can see them from anywhere in the classroom and instantly know that my student's aids are on my student's ears. I also like the way it keeps the MLx personal FM. attachment in place. Ear Gear takes away the cumbersome look that Hearing Aids and attachments can have. I wear my ear gear all the time. I am 63 years old but I sweat at least once everyday while working out or playing table tennis. In August of this year, I attended a table tennis camp up in Maryland. When I got there I found the camp was in a warehouse with no air conditioning. Needless to say, I looked like I'd been swimming after 6 hours of play each day. I ruined my hearing aids. Luckily they were under warranty and I had them fixed. I went to my hearing aid specialist, Rick Brooke here in Okatie SC and he recommended your covers for hearing aids. I ordered a tan color to blend with my skin. When I got them, I thought the material was too heavy and that it would inhibit my hearing or cover the microphone so I just set them aside for a couple of weeks. Finally, I had to do something to protect my hearing aids from getting wet and risk ruining them again so I put on Ear Gear. To my surprise, I could hear perfectly and now I just never take them off. They keep my hearing aids dry and I actually forget I have them on. They work great!

Aaron has been wearing a BTE processor for a few years, but has always had an issue with sweat getting between the processor and battery, creating issues where the CI would stop working for a while. Being a black belt in karate, and also playing football, sweat is a big issue. Since he has been using his Ear Gear, we have had no issues at all. Aaron is very happy about that, and finds that he is more comfortable wearing his processor when he has Ear Gear on.

Our daughter, Madison, got her first hearing aid when she was 6 weeks old. As she grew and discovered that she had these things in her ears that she could take out and chew on. With the Ear Gear, even though she could still take the hearing aids out, we didn't have to worry about them getting lost. She is now 18 months old, and while she doesn't chew on them so much anymore, she is a very active little girl. With Ear Gear, we don't have to worry about losing them outside, or in the toy box.

Here is a picture of my daughter, Mary Kate, in her new Ear Gear. She loves it! Mary Kate recently started Kindergarten. It's always hot in the school and she was coming home a bit sweaty. I was worried that the moisture would harm her aid, and it was causing her aid to sort of stick to the skin behind her ear. Ear Gear has solved both our problems. I no longer have to worry about moisture getting into the aid, which is a great relief, and Mary Kate is very comfortable! She picked out the color herself and loves the bright yellow. My son, Keaton, was the reason we found out Ear Gear because he was having so much trouble with sweat corroding the batteries and causing further issues with his aids. I was given a flyer for Ear Gear from my son's audiologist at the Hearing Health Center in St. Peters Missouri. I ordered him a set through the audiologist and had wonderful luck with them, so I decided to give them a try for myself. I have an cochlear implant on my right ear and a regular hearing aid on my left. I have so many issues with sweat ruining my aids because I am very active in many different sports, but mainly in Kuk Sool Won Martial arts. I am told my family is the largest known family with a dominant gene of hearing loss that is not associated with any other syndromes or issues. My father, his sister, my brother, and myself have all been blessed with a cochlear implant in one ear. I also passed the information about Ear Gear on to my father and brother because they too have issues with sweat. There are many more within my family that also have implants and or hearing aids too. Now the next generation is also coming up with this same defective gene and one of my sons is now wearing hearing aids as well. Thank you very much for coming up with a solution to aid with one of the biggest problems for hearing aid wearers, moisture.

I am so grateful for Ear Gear both my children use them . Alexander is 9 months old and is constantly pulling his implants off his ears. Now we go out, I am not worried that we will leave them behind somewhere.
Spencer who is now 3, is into everything and I am always worried about him losing his implants. With Ear Gear I don't have those worries. The Ear Gear Cochlear with cord and clip has saved me many headaches. And Ear Gear Camouflage is especially great cause it makes my boy's implants look stylish.

Colin got his hearing aids at 3 months. It started out great! The only downfall was having to wig-tape the hearing aid to his head due to improper fitting. Then he found his ears and soon after he discovered the hearing aids. I would turn my back to him and there he would be with his hearing aids in his little hands trying to take them off! Now with Ear Gear though he can still remove his hearing aids , they are still protected by the sleeve and will not get lost because of the cord and clip. I love how soft the spandex sleeve is against his head and how it protects the hearing aids if he sweats. I will definitely continue using Ear Gear for Colin's hearing aids as he gets older.

I like using Ear Gear with my students who have MLx personal FM sound systems. Ear Gear protects the small MLx receivers so they cannot fall off and get lost during daily activities at school. My students like the way Ear Gear looks and they can make fashion statements with their hearing aids. Some of our younger students use Ear Gear with elastics and a clip that fastens to the back of a shirt to prevent aids from getting lost if they accidentally fall out. Ear Gear provides peace of mind for parents and teachers who need to be concerned with costly replacements or time lost without aids or receivers. I purchased the Ear Gear for my son, Zacary. He is 4 1/2 years old and wears hearing aids in both ears. I found Ear Gear very easy to put on his hearing aids and he immediately said that it was very comfortable and soft against his head. He also loved the cool colors and wanted to match them to his bathing suit every day. After turning the hearing aids on and doing a quick 'ling check' (making sure he could clearly hear through the fabric), I was thrilled that there was no buzzing, and the sound quality seemed perfect for him. It gave me piece of mind that his hearing aids were being protected on the beach from blowing sand, sweat, damp hair, peanut butter fingers etc....after a long day at the beach, we simply washed Ear Gear and put them out to dry for the next day. Hearing aids remained protected throughout the week. Being a mom, all I want is for Zacary to have a great time at the beach playing with his friends, to listen to the waves crashing & the seagulls singing ~ Ear Gear gave him the tool to be able to wear his hearing aids on the beach and really enjoy his trip....for that, I am so very grateful.

I learned about your product after I had taken my Delta Hearing aids in for some routine maintenance when the folks at Hi-Tech Hearing in Albuquerque New Mexico discovered rust in My hearing aids which were just a few months old they told me I needed to be careful about sweat entering the aids and suggested your product.
Today I went out and mowed the lawn and watered my flowers and of course perspired like crazy in the process, not once did I hear my hearing aids make the crackling, fizzling sound that they would normally when sweat entered them. WOW now I can mow my lawn and lead an active life and not worry about destroying my expensive hearing aids.

Nash was born deaf and received his bilateral implants when he was 2 ½ . Nash is all boy and very active. He loves the dirt, wind and water. Unfortunately all three do not work well with his processors. We love Ear Gear because it protects both of his processors from all the things Nash manages to get into. Nash loves to go out to the ranch and help work cattle. We used to have to really work hard to get all the dirt from the processors after he helped at the ranch. Because the processors don't always stay on if the horse gets jumpy the bright blue makes it so much easier to find them. They Ear Gear also help hold all his equipment together. The Ear Gear has been awesome for this very active 6 year old boy.

Our son Harrison is a very active nine-year-old boy. He has worn hearing aids since he was one, and they are very much a part of his day-to-day life. Harrison received digital hearing aids about 3 years ago and they were forever malfunctioning. It was very disruptive for Harrison to loose use of his hearing aids, as they required repair at the manufacturer's location. With Harrison playing soccer, bike riding and participating in other outdoor activities, we suspected he was damaging his hearing aids by his perspiration getting into the hearing aids and shorting out the circuitry. We found out about the Ear Gear product and decided to try it on Harrison's hearing aids. The Ear Gear does a great job of wicking away any perspiration that occurs when Harrison is playing sports. Since having the Ear Gear, Harrison has not had any problems with his hearing aids malfunctioning. We are thankful for Ear Gear.

When our son, Miles, got his hearing aids at four months, he was pretty good about keeping them in his ears. Even so, we had at least two scary experiences of losing, and then finding, these very expensive pieces of equipment. As he got older and began to teeth, his aids became his favorite and most expensive teething toys. After having to get both aids repaired, I ordered Ear Gear, suggested by our audiologist. While he still pulls them out of his ears and occasionally puts them in his mouth, I worry less about loss and destruction of his hearing aids. Ear Gear is less cumbersome than some of the other clips we tried and they seem to be very comfortable on his ears. I like the flat clip as it doesn't jam into his back when he rolls over. I'm glad we tried them!

With younger children now being fit with hearing aids, there is always the concern from parents that the child will pull out the aids while the parent is not watching. Using Ear Gear gives the parents peace of mind that even if the aids are pulled out, the child will not then be able to get them into their mouth, or lose or damage them if they fall to the ground. This can extend the amount of time the child is using the hearing aids throughout the day. With little ears, Ear Gear when cinched up also holds the hearing aids a little more snugly on the head. At our clinic we have decided Ear Gear are important enough that we are routinely providing them to parents with new hearing aid fitting as part of our overall dispensing kit.
One of our first children to get Ear Gear was a child who had lost a previous hearing aid while boating. Ear Gear gives this family the security to allow the child to continue to use their hearing aid in all situations without having to worry about losing the aid even if it does fall out of the ear. In addition to security features, parents and children love the colors. The camouflage material has been popular with boys of all ages, including infants! The audiologist that ordered my child's hearing aids gave me a brochure for your company. My child is 4 years old and these are his first hearing aids. When 2 of my children were diagnosed as hearing impaired and we started the road to getting hearing aids and all that come with them, I started searching for things to make this transition easier for us all. Because of their ages (3 and 5 at the time) and activity level it was very important to me to find a way to keep them from getting lost and from being damaged. I searched on the internet and asked other parents what their secrets were and the best thing I found was Ear Gear! Not only did it give me the security when I let my children run and play, but it was comfortable for them and since one is a boy and one a girl it was wonderful to be able to choose what color/style would fit them instead of the standard clips that came with the hearing aids. My son, Drew, lost his hearing due to severe adverse reactions to his 6 month vaccinations. I purchased our infant daughter, Kamryn, her first pair of Ear Gear shortly after we received her first pair of hearing aids at 3 months old. I knew that those little hearing aids were no match for a growing baby! I worried about losing the aids or having Kamryn decide to use them as a teething toy. She wears them at all times while she is awake and they have saved her hearing aids many times now, especially from drool and spit-up! We just handwash them and let them dry and pop them back on her aids. The audiologists love them and have thought about ordering some to show in their office for the other HOH/Deaf kids. They do not interfere with the microphone on her hearing aids at all. I have gotten so many compliments on how cute they are (we have the girly pink and purple patterned Ear Gear). I am seriously considering getting a pair in every color so we can match her outfits! Our Ear Gear have the cord attachment, so I can tell you that I do not lose sleep worrying about losing Kamryn's hearing aids anymore! I wanted you to know how much my two boys love their new Ear Gear! They are very active so we have found Ear Gear to be the perfect solution! Jake is 14 and in 8th grade. He just finished playing football and soccer this season and is starting basketball. Matt (red jersey) is 12 and in 6th grade. He just finished soccer season and is beginning basketball season as well. We had tried using latex-type covers in the past but they would often tear and were difficult to get on and off, especially if you didn't have the special tool with you. The boys found that they often couldn't make it through a game or practice without their hearing aids shutting off due to moisture/sweat seeping inside. That was very frustrating to them. The battery compartment was often getting rusty and they were hard to get clean. Their Ear Gear has been amazing! They are so easy to get on and off and simple to clean as well. The boys were amazed to find that they could play a whole game without their hearing aids cutting off and we haven't had the problem with rust that we had in the past! Jake and Matt also think they look much "cooler" than what they used to use. Thank you for offering such a simple solution for us! Ear Gear is awesome!

We received the Ear Gear on Halloween and its worked out wonderfully. Fisher He doesn't seem to take them out as much as he did before and I am completely at ease that we will not lose them when he takes them out. I work in a potash mine 3200 ft below the surface. Due to the salt in the dust and the sweating from the heat, I was afraid of damaging my aide and as a result wore it very little. This caused two problems. One was communication with my co-workers. The second was costly repairs from salt and sweat penetrating the hearing aide. After trying out Ear Gear for two weeks, I was really impressed. I no longer have to clean it every day as it keeps the dust and sweat out. More importantly it allows me to be more aware of my workplace and to work safely with others, as I can now leave my hearing aide on at all times. Thanks for making my job easier.

Since we have been using Ear Gear there have not been any 'late night' searches of the backyard for missing processors!! Even though it appears to make the processor look bigger, I haven't had any trouble keeping it on Angus's ears. I was a bit concerned at first that the stretchy cover covered the microphones on Angus's speech processor but I haven't noticed any decline in Angus's ability to hear and respond to me and other environmental noises. With 'Ear Gear'on , the only thing he can manage to do is chew on the chord – but this has withstood the torture!

Back in August 2006, when we learned our son was hard of hearing, we were further shocked by the high cost of hearing aids. Who wants to hand their infant thousands of dollars? Trying eyeglass chains was suggested, but they neither did the job, nor looked very nice. So I scoured the web and hit upon Ear Gear! What a perfect solution! They are well made, look great and keep the hearing aids safe. Additional benefits include protecting them from Florida's humidity, and they can be the start of great conversations! There's no question about it: Ear Gear definitely works. The spandex stretches, but it's a tough fabric, so it can be taken on and off as needed to change batteries or remove them before storing the processors in a dessicator overnight. I have bilateral cochlear implants, and I use one Ear Gear for each of my Freedom BTE and Esprit 22 BTE processors (Cochlear Corporation). The Ear Gear has a long, narrow opening on top to allow use of controls on the processor. For different processors the opening may have to be pulled aside a bit by the edge, to better access buttons, but in practice I haven't found this a problem. I think the Ear Gear is a good, practical, working compromise between protecting the processor from sweat, and allowing easy operation of the controls. I've been looking for a good solution like this for a long time. In particular, my Esprit 22 has been truly susceptible to sweat. I've had it exchanged a few times after it came in contact with sweat, and didn't come back to life after drying in a dessicator. The last time the warranty had expired and I paid $500 for an exchange. I haven't found any sweat inside the Ear Gear. This includes walking outside on hot summer days.

Wish there had been Ear Gear when I was Kyle's age!! We love Ear Gear. I never have to really worry about him at PE class at school or when it is drizzling rain outside. The other wonderful thing about this, I can change colors. This year his favorite color is yellow,but who is to say what it will be next year. Now I can easily change the color of his aids and keep him happy.This was the perfect solution for our family!!

We recently purchased a purple and pink mini mono Ear Gear for our daughter Tianna. After finding this absolutely amazing product on the internet I wonder how we ever managed without it! We love it but more importantly Tianna's teachers love it. With our old clip the hearing aid could slip through the hole and fall to the ground, with her Ear Gear we never have that worry. We used to take her hearing aid off for play because of the fear of losing it. Now we don't even think about it. If it should fall off we know it will be safe. Now with her starting sports we know that she will be able to hear the instructor because we know the hearing aid won't fall off while she is exercising. This gives us an amazing piece of mind! we also love that the Ear Gear covers the hearing aid protecting it from moisture. Tianna loves the pretty colors, which makes it fun for her to wear.

Meged absolutely loves her Ear Gear! We got it in time for her to go to her first gymnastics class with them on. The gymnastics instructors loved how the Ear Gear helped them spot Meged more quickly in the group of 30+ girls they had just met for the first time. The locking clip works so much better than the other one we'd been using before Ear Gear. And we love how flat the clip is as well. Now we don't have to worry that the clip will come loose and hang down her back, hurting her when she sits against something hard. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and much needed product!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for providing such a fabulous product, Ear Gear. My 20 month old son Jordan (mod hearing loss) has been pulling his hear aides out every time I turned around for months now and finding more and more creative places to hide them including shopping centers, sand pits & playgrounds to name a few. We have tried ever hearing aide clip available here in Australia to no avail as Jordy always works out how to get his tiny aides out of the holders. The latest advice we had from our hearing centre was to superglue the aides to the clip loops!!!! No thanks. I had gotten to the point where I was having to take his aides off if we were at the shops or a playground as they were just being lost once too often, but I wasn't happy with the idea of him not wearing his aides at all times. Anyway you have solved all that with Ear Gear. Not only has he been wearing them for weeks now without being able get the aides out of the "little socks" but they are in a beautiful Royal Blue colour now and so much easier to find and remember to take off at bath time!!

Jacob was SO excited to get his Ear Gear (original)! We received it the day before his 4th birthday and he kept asking me if he could wear it to his party, to school, to Grandma's house, to church, to the park, etc.! Every time someone asks him why his hearing aids are red now he tells them he has "cool red Ear Gear". He is so proud to show off his hearing aids now!

We are so pleased with Ear Gear we ordered for our five year old daughter. Our daughter had the bad habit of taking her Cochlear Freedom Implant apart when she wanted to turn it off. After having to send it in twice for repairs and scouring the neighborhood for a lost battery pack, we knew we needed to do something. Someone suggested Ear Gear to us. We love it. It fits tightly over our daughter's BTE. We can pull the end down over the battery compartment so the entire device is safely contained. Now, we don't worry about missing or broken parts to her processor. Best of all, she loves the lipstick pink colour. She is quite pleased with her new look.

My daughter River is a 9 year old twin born with bilateral sensory neural hearing loss. She began gymnastics at the age of 5 and is now a competitive gymnast and part of TOPS (talent opportunity program). We thought she would never be able to tumble with her hearing aids so she just never wore them to gym. Recently, as skills became more challenging, her coaches observed that she was missing instructions and not hearing corrections. They suggested she try wearing her aids to gym. We found Ear Gear and she now wears her hearing aids to her practices 4 days/17 hours a week as she flips, tumbles, climbs, dances and etc. Ear Gear gives her hearing aids protection and security. More than anything, they are so cute she actually enjoys wearing them. Her coaches have truly seen great improvement since she began wearing her hearing aids. Luke has used his Ear Gear everyday for over a year. The lime green ones he choose we just starting to fade a bit so we ordered 3 more pairs. He has really put his Ear Gear to the test. Luke plays soccer in the rain, Baseball in the sun and dirt, and Hockey in all the sweaty gear. We have not had any repairs to our hearing aids in all that time. I use to be in the repair shop at least twice a year. Ear Gear keeps the hearing aids safe and clean. Luke likes the way they feel more comfortable and the colors he can choose. We started with Lime green, and now have red and blue to match our team colors. His favorite right now is the black because he thinks they look more dressy and cool.

We love our Ear Gear! I feel so much better knowing Katie's hearing aids are securely attached to her. No worrying if they are in the car seat, the stroller, the toy box or the sandbox. With a curious big sister and a big backyard, her hearing aids could end up anywhere! I didn't put too much faith in other clip options and was unimpressed with the one that was given to me. They weren't as secure as Ear Gear and didn't protect the appliance at all. Ear Gear have greatly increased her wear time since I am less worried about them getting pulled off and lost. We're looking forward to a lifelong relationship with Ear Gear!

Our son Justin who is 6 yrs old. He started wearing hearing aids 1 1/2 yrs ago and ever since we have run into the problem-every spring thru early fall-of trying to keep the aids dry while he is outside and soooooo active! We keep his hair short, but he sweats a lot and we have had to have his aids repaired because of moisture damage two times. We go thru batteries fast because they have moisture exposure as well. We FINALLY feel like we have a SOLUTION to the problem! I love that they do not distort his hearing and really hold the moisture away from his aids! He LOVES the camouflage ones and picked out three new colors!

Our daughter started wearing her hearing aids before her three-month birthday. When she started teething, it was impossible to keep them on her ears and out of her mouth. We had tried several different clips and they didn't work. Within minutes, she could pull the aids right off the clips! We are very glad that we tried Ear Gear. It has worked wonders for us. She still occasionally pulls her hearing aids off of her ears, but since the material is soft against her skin and not abrasive like the hard plastic, she leaves them alone most of the time. And when she does pull them off of her ears, the unique design prevents her from pulling the hearing aids off of the clip and the spandex keeps them dry. Our audiologists and the teachers at the local speech school love it, too. We have been extremely pleased with Ear Gear and plan to continue using it!

Whitten failed his newborn hearing screen and was first aided when he was nine weeks old. Around four months of age he began to have the dexterity to grab his ears and we began searching for a product to help secure his aids. My son Elijah, age 6, is a bilateral cochlear implant user and we recently made the switch to the new Freedom BTE by Cochlear. Ear Gear slipped onto the processor fairly easily, and I even got it over the mic lock tubing. It is a tight fit, but it can be done. Ear Gear gives me the peace of mind that Elijah's processor will not get lost. The cord is very sturdy and the clasp that attaches to his shirt is VERY strong. The Freedom processor has a computer screen on the back of it and two different buttons. I can see the computer screen if I move the spandex around and at night I have to slip the spandex UP on the processor so I can turn it off. All of this is easy to do!
Elijah is also a soccer player and this product has helped keep the processor from dropping on the ground during a game and possibly getting stepped on. I have already recommended this product to several friends who have children with CI processors!

Just writing to let you know how much I love my Ear Gear. The cord is great for keeping the hearing aides with me during the rough duties of being a firefighter/ paramedic. The spandex keeps soot and water from damaging my BTE's and keeps them with me when donning and doffing helmets, masks and stethoscopes. What a great product!!!!

Thank you so much for the Ear Gear you made for our daughter Elise. Being that she has a cochlear implant in her right ear and wears a regular hearing aid in her left it was difficult to find a product that would help keep both in place while she did what most active 4 year olds do. She has been able to play at school as well as do dance and rough house with here two older siblings and one younger one. I have been training for the Chicago Marathon and the thought of my implant getting jostled off and crushed by one of the 40,000 runners around me had me looking for some kind of solution. I found Ear Gear and tried out one for my implant which worked amazingly well! I was able to run a half marathon race in complete security. However during that race, my hearing aid in my other ear kept going out with moisture issues which caused me to get another Ear Gear for my hearing aid as a moisture shield. This also was a terrific solution! Now I am able to have complete confidence in the security and function of my implant and hearing aid while I run! I also like the bright and snazzy colors that they come in.

My son Spencer is a active young man. He plays baseball, basketball and football. Every August when football camp starts, I struggle to find ways to keep his hearing aids free of moisture while he is wearing his helmet. This year our problems have been solved--thanks to Ear Gear!! No more wrapping the aids in Saran wrap and then covering them with latex seals--only to find corroded batteries and moisture galore inside the aid. He loves the camouflage color. Using them is part of our daily routine now. James is very active and it really gives us a sense of security knowing they're actually attached to him. The clip is very secure and difficult enough for little fingers that he never bothers with it. The cords are long enough to be comfortable and out of the way without catching on things. I also noticed a reduction in the amount of condensation that would build up in the tubing, which is great because it's been humid out. I can honestly say that I would recommend these as a necessary accessory to anyone with a child wearing BTE aids.

Our son Ian was diagnosed with hearing loss at 10 months old. My husband and I were very worried about how we would keep these very expensive hearing aids ON his head. We asked around on a couple of online message boards. We ended up trying out a couple of different "eyeglass holder" type clips. What ended up happening was that the clips were not very strong, so he was able to just yank them off of his shirt. Shortly after we got a few sets, he was even able to snap the ear hook in two!! So we gave up on the clip idea. We would just remove the hearing aids in the mall, at the grandparent's house, basically everywhere that we were scared he would lose them.
Then we found Ear Gear. My son is 2 and weighs in at about 50lbs. He CANNOT get the clip off his shirt. Ear Gear makes the hearing aids more comfortable next to his ears. We used to have a problem with him sweating and rusting his battery compartment. Ear Gear has fixed that problem. He doesn't try to tear them off; they are secure on his ears. We are so comfortable that we have gone everywhere with them in. The zoo, the mall, even his brother's birthday party. He gets wild and crazy and we never worry. I am so glad we found this wonderful product. Now he can wear his hearing aids all the time and we are never worried about losing them.

Ear Gear was great!! I have been on several trips to places like Honduras and India and now Ecuador. On previous trips my digital aids quit promptly in the humidity and heat, sometimes before we even got to the site. This time they worked for the whole trip. That included 5 days of mixing cement in intermittent showers and 90 degree (F) heat. We also spent 4 days on the Galapagos Islands, constantly in boats, at the beach, or sweating while hiking. My Ear Gear is visibly soiled from the sweat, cement, rain and dirt, but the aids are just fine. I was very, very impressed by how much Ear Gear improved the function of my aids. My use for your product may arise from a different need than most of your clients. I am a 30 year old Police Detective, and a member of a multi-agency tactical team. I have suffered from hearing loss since my early teens. Hearing loss is generally an immediate disqualifier for most police agencies. Fortunately I work at an agency which was able to look beyond the hearing aids. Since I wear BTE's, moisture and wind noise have always been a problem. You product has allowed me to be able to use my hearing aids on almost every mission, and increased the safety of everyone involved.
